Serial Obsession enters 2012 with new release!!

After a busy 2011 promoting their full length cd “Shotgun Opera” which consisted of shows throughout the tristate area as well as numerous appearances on internet radio and positive magazine reviews, the band is ready to release new material!

The new EP, consists of 4 newly written and recorded tracks that will satisfy their core fan base but will also help recruit a wider audience. Serial Obsession went into Smash Studios in NYC originally to make some quick demos but as circumstance would have it, turned into something bigger.”We were hoping to work with a producer,to tell us what to do but it didn’t happen” says the band “So we knew we had to do it ourselves”.Theses songs come from the same place as always, our hearts! says drummer T. Motts, the only adjustment was making sure these songs would be easy to remember and grab onto, so we added big hooks to our big guitars. Why an EP and not a full length cd? Doing a complete album can be a long process, besides, we are very excited about the new songs and didn’t want to wait a full year before releasing something new, says bassist Jason Rosin. “Better Bad” is a danceable rock track thanks to the back beat rhythm section of Rosin and Motts and an infectious chorus. “More to Life” a frantic yet dynamic tune courtesy of Mike Suozzi’s scorching lead line keeps the pace going full throttle.”Where are you Now” is a classic Serial Obsession tune with a haunting melody from Shawn Sugrue and a groove that never stops. The Anthemic“Where did you go? (Rock N’ Roll)” , with its big, sing along hook, will soon be a highlight of the Serial Obsession live show. The tracks, which are available on iTunes, cdbaby, amazon and the bands’ website, have already been added to several internet radio stations such as Fatcatradio.com, insomniaradio.com, offthechartradio inthe UK,headcaseradio and Pirateradionofthetreasurecoast.com to name a few. The band is very excited for what lies ahead and are hoping the word spreads fast,it’s “all or nothing”
