Von Mason

My Mother and Dad could both rhythm and sing with the guitar, so it was only natural that us children would pick it up. On a lot of Saturday nights we would get to listen to the Grand Ole Opry. That was one of my real treats. Ernest Tub and Roy Acuff were our favorites at that time.

I have many memories of sitting around the house singing old time church songs. Many memories that I'll never forget. Somewhere around '45 or '46, when we moved to California so Daddy could find work, which he did at Lunday Thagard Oil Company in South Gate, California.
