Philip Olivier
Biography:
Philip Olivier’s music is a blending of Robert Earl Keens west Texas Sandstorms, the laid back Georgia styling’s of the Allman Brothers band and the soul of New Orleans.
Once described by a friend as “beer sippin’ music” Philips music can be transcendent and boisterous one minute, reflective and raw the next. Philip pins down the undercurrents of emotion and rage that lie within--the conflicts of the past and present, wanting and wanted, loss and reconciliation. His is a music grounded in his Southern roots and geography, understanding of the fact that only after the fall is the moment of redemption.
