Wyler Delray

WYLER DELRAY'S DEBUT ALBUM IS A SELF-MADE MASTERPIECE!

What do you do if you're an unknown singer-songwriter with little or no chance of "being discovered" by the music "powers to be"? If you're Illinois native Wyler Delray, you take matters into your own hands and record/produce your own music album. "Self-Made Fool" is the result of an indie artist that puts his money where his mouth is and created an album of all original material, on his own label-Ho-Made Records.

"Country songs with Rock overtones" is how Delray describes his debut project. "You'll find a little bit of everything on this album" he continues.  Songs about love, music on the road, politics, woes of the working man, good love, bad love, even Facebook, they're all addressed on this album.

Just listening to the songs "The Show Must Go On", "Nashville", I Miss Someone All The Time, "She Never Looked That Good" and "Don't Give A Damn No More" will convince the listener that this guy is not just another me-too type of artist. Here is an American Original that can match songs with the best of the best-Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Willie Nelson, John Prine, or Kris Kristofferson.

WYLER DELRAY-SELF-MADE ARTIST

That's what people are saying about singer-songwriter Wyler Delray. Here is an artist that produces original material with a retro-type sound-while still being modern at the same time.

This Illinois native writes and sings songs about real-life situations-something that has been lacking in recent country music offerings. His debut album "Self-Made Fool" is a hard-hitting example of what true country songs should be-honest and passionate. Whether it's a sad song, an upbeat rocker, or something in-between, Wyler Delray delivers.

"I grew up on traditional country music, but was also exposed to a good dose of folk-rock, southern-rock, and singer-songwriters of all genres, all of these had an impact on me and my music," Delray said, in a recent interview. He describes his material as "Rocked-Up Country", for lack of a better term.

Another unique trait about Wyler Delray is that he didn't wait around to be discovered by Nashville. He instead formed his own Ho-Made Records label and recorded his songs, at his own expense. "If I waited for someone to discover me-I'd die with all my songs still bottled up inside me-and I just couldn't let that happen".

After listening to "Self-Made Fool" and all thirteen songs,  it's obvious that he made the right decision.

Wyler Delray/Self-Made Fool is currently available on music and streaming outlets worldwide.
