How Cool Is That

Vision embodies the best of Country music and top quality production. Each track flows into the next creating a mood and experience honoring its title. Lee Hendricks (Eric Church’s bass player), Steve Hinson (steel guitar for Randy Travis) and Troy Lancaster (Tim McGraw’s guitar player) are just a few of the talent tsunami that bring Vision to life.

The life of a musician is often fraught with unexpended highs and regrettable lows, but for Nick Dakota, “It seems every year something significant comes through for me that leads to greater and greater opportunity.” This year creating and releasing Vision is just that! The first single, ‘How Cool is That’ written by hit songwriters, L. Hengber and S. Williams promises to keep those great opportunities coming!

Preparing for his upcoming tour, Nick is working in his studio in Saugatuck, MI writing for his next album. You can check out the debut album, Vision on Spotify or Google Play.

A voice sweetened with the gentle romance of Keith Urban and anchored in the depth and strength of Toby Keith, Nick Dakota glides onto the country stage with his debut album, Vision.

At 30, this Holland, MI native is poised to take Nashville by the short and curlies. Handsome, charismatic, and talented; Nick is not your average guitar player who can sing. Playing in bands since he was 16, Nick Dakota was born to do just this. Discovered by the famous producer, Robyn Robins (of Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band) Robins believes highly in the talents of Nick and the future of his music career. So much so that he has produced this debut album with top notch heavy hitters out of Nashville. “We feel Nick has great potential. The songs, vocal delivery, and overall production are great”, quotes Robins.

Reggae GAPPS recording artiste, Oral 'Splicerr' Williams, has been making songs for almost two decades. Dancehall fans will remember his minor chart hit, 'Montell', a 1996 response to then popular 'Skettel', on Steelie and Cleevie's Gigi rhythm.

Now, he has been getting a buzz stateside with the blues-flavoured reggae hybrid tracks, the explicitNeed To Get Laid andNeed To Get Paid, songs he also produced. Those songs, released in June, will be leading out his upcoming EP, Mid Life Crysalis.

"The response (to the songs) has been phenomenal so far. They have been picked up by several Internet radio stations," he said.

In 1994, the versatile Splicerr got his first taste of commercial success when he recorded You Can't Test My Sound, a collaboration with Dawn Penn which climbed to number 25 on the reggae chart in the UK. In 1996, he got a buzz with Montell.

He later did a number of tours and stage shows where he performed alongside icons of reggae such as Freddie McGregor and Sanchez.

Over the years, he has honed his music production skills and widened his artistic repertoire to include graphic designing, videography and web development. He tweaked his name, adding an 'r', to Splicerr, an acronym meaning: Solid Positive Life Interesting Candid Educating Relentless and Real.

He re-emerged on the music scene in a big way in 2006 when he produced Luciano'sOnly Jah Jah, which peaked at number 7 on the New York reggae chart, for his Oz1 (pronounced 'as one') Entertainment record label.

"Now, I am recording and producing music that can teach and inspire and that is relevant to a global audience," Splicerr said.
